
Van Alan Blumreich is an independent filmmaker hailing from Houston, TX. He has directed numerous music videos for notable and recognizable artists such as Better Than Ezra, Copeland, The Presidents of the U.S.A, Regina Belle, etc. His work has been broadcast on MTV, MTV2, Fuse, VH1, JCTV, and HDNet, as well as featured on websites such as Rolling Stone, Guitar World, VH1, MySpace, AOL Music, Yahoo! Music, MTV Music, and VEVO. Many of his music videos are also available for purchase on iTunes.
Van has also directed several short films that have been recognized globally and across the nation. IMPRINT was discovered by the Independent Film Channel’s Media Lab and FURY was selected to partake in the 2009 Texas Filmmakers Showcase. His latest short film, THE NATURAL ORDER OF THINGS, was shot in Beijing, China featuring an all-Chinese cast and is spoken in Mandarin and subtitled in English. THE NATURAL ORDER OF THINGS was recently selected for the 2010 Texas Filmmakers Showcase, where it premiered at the DGA Theater in West Hollywood and is currently traveling around to selected U.S. film festivals.
Van hopes to write and direct a feature-length film in the near future, as well as expand his portfolio to include more commercial work.
